St Aidan's Primary is a Catholic coeducational school that was founded by and is educating in the tradition of the Sisters of St Joseph. St Aidan's Primary was established in 1907. In living out the values of Christ, our school celebrates the uniqueness of each person within a diverse community. This is reflected in the way our community is taught and encouraged to respect the dignity of each member of our school.

St Aidan’s Primary school is a vibrant learning community where excellence in education is our goal. We are committed to providing each student with a learning environment that is comprehensive, inclusive and challenging. Located in Rooty Hill, we are a multicultural school which seeks to live out the values of Christ in a caring and supportive environment.

Together We are One

The St Aidan's school community works together to ensure all members of our school are valued and respected. In the tradition of the Sisters of St Joseph who founded our school, we try to live out daily the Gospel values of justice, respect, dignity and tolerance, and develop in each student, confidence in their abilities and a love of learning.

Our Outstanding Facilities

St Aidan’s is nestled in a residential area in Rooty Hill, adjacent to an attractive park. There is an aura of calmness and serenity that encompasses the playground and learning areas. Native birds are regular visitors to the many native trees surrounding the school.

Students have two large areas in which to play at recess and lunch. Both playgrounds are equipped with shade provisions and seating. Students are provided with courts for handball and basketball. Students are supplied with play equipment such as balls, skipping ropes and hoops to assist them in their play. Adjacent to the school is a spacious and well-equipped park that students and staff are able to utilise for sporting events.

A 21st Century Learning Environment

St Aidan’s utilises the latest technology in order to help the students and staff keep pace with the rapidly changing world in which we live.

All students have access to portable devices which enhance the learning that takes place in the classroom. Our use of technology is closely linked to the curriculum and provides opportunities for individualised student learning and research, this also allows for students to work in a collaborative environment.

Our technology is used to compliment learning while developing fundamental skills and digitally literate students which is essential for our changing world. We utilise a variety of apps to contextualise learning and provide students with an innovative focus on their key learning areas.
